Wool with a tweed effect has become an excellent basis for a classic poncho with an original embossed pattern.
Yarn (70% wool, 30% polyamide; 125 m / 50 g) - 400 g olive; short and long circular needles number 5.
* 1 front, 2 knit together the front loops with a tilt to the left (1 loop to remove, like the front one, 1 front, then stretch it through the removed loop),
Circular rows (the number of loops is a multiple of 9 + 3) = knit acc. pattern. On it are given odd circular rows. Knit the loops in even circular rows according to the pattern. Rapport constantly repeat, finish loops after rapport. Constantly repeat the 1–6th round rows.
ELASTIC
Circular rows: alternately 1 front, 1 purl.
KNITTING DENSITY
20.5 p. X 31.5 krug.r. = 10 x 20 cm.
ATTENTION!
Poncho knit from top to bottom, starting with the collar. Arrows on the pattern = knitting direction. The dimensions on the pattern are partially obtained when measuring the model.

COMPLETING OF THE WORK
Type 82 loops on short circular knitting needles, close into a ring and knit with a collar pattern, while in the 1st circular row mark the 1st and 82nd loop for the middle back, and also the 41st and 42nd loop for the middle of the front .
After 16 cm from the beginning of the collar, continue the work as follows: * 1 loop with the front satin finish (= middle of the back), 1 nakid, 39 sections with a pattern of “braids”, 1 nakid, 2 loops on the front satin (= middle of the front), 1 nakid, 39 p. Pattern of "braids", 1 nakid, 1 p. Front smooth surface (= middle back) = 86 p.
Nakida in the next row to knit facial or purse, respectively, crossed and included in the pattern of "braids". These increases continue logically, i.e. perform 103 times in each circular row on both sides of the 2 middle loops by 1 naquid (= increase of 4 loops in each circular row) and include in the pattern of "braids".
Through 66 cm = 104 circular rows from the collar (measured along the center line) on the spokes 498 loops.
Then, for the closing strip, tie a 2 cm rubber band and close all the loops.
For the fringe, cut off 4 threads 25 cm long each and weave them into the locking bar with an interval of 5 cm.
