CAP FOR THE BOY HOOK

Click For Crochet Abbreviations List

I found such a charm on the home page of Natalya Grukhina. I want to share with those who want to tie this hat.

The idea of this cap is taken from www.etsy.com

At the age of 4 years. Head circumference - 52 cm.

It will be required:

- the remains of wool or acrylic yarn of different colors;
- hook number 4;

Description of work:

1 row: dial 2 bp. and close them in the ring. To drink 7 tbsp. b / n [= 7 tbsp. b / n]
2 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row *. Repeat * 7 times [= 14 tbsp. b / n]
3 row: * 2 tbsp. б / н in one loop of the previous row, 1 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 21 tbsp. b / n]
4 row: * 2 tbsp. б / н in one loop of the previous row, 2 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 28 tbsp. b / n]
5 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 3 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 35 tbsp. b / n]
6 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 4 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 42 st. b / n]
7 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 5 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 49 tbsp. b / n]
8 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 6 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 56 tbsp. b / n]
Get a circle with a diameter of approx. 10 cm.

Further we make increments in every second row: row
9: untwist without changes [= 56 st. b / n]
10 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 7 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 63 tbsp. b / n]
11 series: to be untied without changes [= 63 st. b / n]
12 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 8 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 70 tbsp. b / n]
13 row: to tie unchanged [= 70 st. b / n]
14 row: * 2 tbsp. b / n in one loop of the previous row, 9 tbsp. b / n *. Repeat * 7 times [= 77 st. b / n]
We obtain 16.5 cm diameter circle.
Calcd of formula C = 2πR = πD circumference, where C - circumference, R - radius, D - diameter, π - constant pi (3.14), we obtain D = C / π, i.e. D = 52 / 3.14 = 16.56 cm.
For a different value of the head circumference, use this formula to calculate the maximum diameter.

Then we knit without adding to the required length of the cap.
15-33 ranks: to tie unchanged [= 70 st. b / n] The
thread does not break!

Try on the cap and mark with 2 auxiliary threads the place for the visor (approximately at the level of the outer edge of the eyebrows).
Next, remove the visor, using a thread from the other skein, as follows:
1 row (front): tie one auxiliary thread to the other with columns without a crochet, adding evenly 2 tbsp. b / n. Turn over the knitting of the
2nd row (purl): tie the connecting posts, grabbing only one half loop of the columns of the previous row. Turn the knitting of the
third row (front): fasten the stitches without the crochet, sticking the hook into the loops of the 1st row.
Due to this method of knitting, the visor turns out to be more rigid than the cap itself, and keeps the semicircular shape without starching.
Flip Knitting
4 rows (purl): tie with connecting posts, capturing only one half loop of the columns of the previous row. Turn the knitting of the
5th row (front): fasten the stitches without the crochet, sticking the hook into the loops of the 3rd row. Add evenly 2 tbsp. b / n. Turn the knitting of the
6th row (purl): tie the connecting posts, grabbing only one half loop. Turn over the knitting
Continue knitting until you need the length of the visor.

Note that to form the bevels in both sides of the visor at the beginning and at the end of each row, it is necessary to unbind 1 bar. If this is not done, then the shape of the visor will be somewhat different.

After the visor is completely tied up, tie a smoothing row around the circle, using the thread left after knitting the cap itself.

Tear off the thread and hide the ends of the threads. The hat is ready!

Tip: you can also tie up such a cap and "ears". To do this, on both sides of the visor, having retreated approximately 4-5 columns, separate a separate thread 2-3 (or more) a number of the desired width (for example, 12-14 bars). Next, tie a smoothing circular row.
