When I was first learning to crochet I struggled to hold my hook the way everyone is taught to, and it wasn’t until I decided to do it my own way that I could get the hang of crocheting. Magic Circles were the same.
Its been pointed out to me here before that my crochet technique could be better (kindly meant, I’m sure 🙄) but then I thought, maybe someone else who is struggling to do Magic Circles could benefit from seeing it a slightly different way 🤷🏻♀️.
So here is how I do my Magic Circles...
I loop the yarn around two fingers, creating a cross. I insert the hook under the cross and pull up a loop. I then do a chain stitch to secure the circle.
