Another trick to dispense with calculations
When we are going to knit a model from the magazine, we try to pick up the spokes and yarn so that they give the same density of knitting as in the instruction, so as not to make the whole calculation anew. The endless knitting of samples begins, the spokes thinner, the spokes thicker-who has enough patience. Most often these attempts are unsuccessful-the manner of knitting in all different, as well as handwriting. And the density turns out that a little more, then a little less. What can be done to not recalculate the entire model from start to finish?

If the deviation from the given density is insignificant, the calculation for another size can be quite suitable. It is only necessary to calculate, what number of loops corresponds to the initial row at your density, and to compare with calculations for other sizes. If any other size has the same number of loops of the initial row, it is possible to use all its calculations of width, and calculations of length to measure not in numbers, and in SM.
For example, take this sweater from alpacas. The calculation is made on all sizes from 32 to 50th. The density of knitting 16 p. and 20 P. = 10 x 10 cm (or 1.6 p. and 2 P. 1 cm)-it's pretty thick threads. I took the thread a little thinner and got a density of 18 p. = 10 cm (or 1.8 p. 1 cm). I need the size of 32/34. I expect the initial row of the backrest-> 40 cm x 1.8 p. = 72 P. + 2 chrome. = 74 p. 
and immediately I see that in the instruction such number of loops corresponds to the initial row of size 36/38. Further it is possible to knit on a calculation for size 36/38. All the details will fit perfectly to the size I want 32/34.

P.S. use of the finished calculation does not cancel the checking measurements of details in the process of knitting:))
