When I created Snow White, I partly used the descriptions of the famous master Jean Greenhoe and added my ideas to achieve the closest possible resemblance to the image of the Disney princess.
Snow White is bound from 100% acrylic, a thread in 8 additions (8 ply or Double Knit, also known as DK). You will need the following colors:
We knit from below upwards. We type on spokes 3 mm 34 loops with a white thread.
4 rows - 8 facial, (1 loop from the broach, 1 facial) x2 times, 1 loop from the broach, 14 facial, 2 loops from one, (1 facial, 1 loop from the broach) x2 times, 8 facial = 40 loops.
26 row - 7 facial, (2 together facial) x4 times, 10 facial, (2 together facial) x4 times, 7 facial = 32 loops
We cut off the dark blue thread and attach the skin color strand. We knit 4 rows of stocking knit.
Collect all the loops on the thread and tightly tighten. We fix the thread.
Sew the doll from below upwards along the edge loops, leaving a large enough hole in the head for packing. For a more accurate result, it is better to sew with a mattress suture.
We stuff the torso of the doll so that the waist circumference was 19 cm, the neck 16 cm. We fill the head up to the volume of 21 cm. We sew the back seam. The trunk and head are ready.
We decorate the face.
For the eyes, mark the place with the help of pins. We count 13 rows from the row where the increments were made for the transition from neck to head. Between the eyes should be 4 loops. We embroider our eyes with a thread of suitable color, making small stitches.
The mouth is located at an altitude of 5 meters from a number of head increments. We embroider a small smile with a thread of red color.
The nose is embroidered with a flesh-colored thread in small horizontal stitches, at a height of 4 rows from the mouth.
Nose and cheeks can be gently colored with a red pencil, making accurate circular movements.
Hair and bandage
Base
On knitting needles 3 mm we collect 40 loops of black yarn.
1 row - (1 front, 1 purl) to the end
We knit 15 rows of garter stitch.
17 rows - (2 facial, 2 face-to-face) to the end = 30 loops
We knit 3 rows of garter stitch.
21 rows - (1 facial, 2 face-to-face) to the end = 20 loops
22 row - facial
23 rows - (2 together facing) to the end = 10 loops
Break off the yarn, leaving a long end. We stretch the thread through all the loops on the spoke, tightly tighten and fix the thread.
Sew the base on the edge tabs with a matt suture. We put on the doll's head and sew, combining the back seams.
Upper part of the hairdress
On the knitting needles 4 mm we collect 40 loops with a thread of black color.
We knit 36 rows of garter stitch.
37 row - (2 facial, 2 face-to-face) to the end = 30
stitches We knit 3 rows of garter stitch.
41 rows - (1 facial, 2 face-to-face) to the end = 20 loops
42 rows - facial
43 rows - (2 together facing) = 10 loops.
We close all the loops.
We place the upper part on top of the base, about 5 knitted rows from the first row of the base. We sew only the hinges of the last row.
Dressing
Put on 3 mm needle 6 loops of red thread. We knit 23 cm garter stitch. Sew on the edge tabs. Then we sew the set edge with the last row. Place the bandage on the head under the upper part of the hair, so that only part of the bandage is visible. Sew the bandage to the base.
We lay the upper part of the hair in the form of a square. You can do this with pins. We sew, finally forming a hairdress.
Bow
We type on spokes 3 mm 14 loops with a thread of red color. We knit 7 rows of stocking knit.
8 row - front (mark the line of inflection) and then again 7 rows of stocking knit.
We close all the loops.
Sew first by the edge tabs. Then we combine the set of rows and with the last row and also sew.
Center of the bow
On the spokes of 3 mm we collect 10 loops with a thread of red color and we knit 5 rows of garter stitch. We close all the loops. We combine on the edge loops and sew. We pass the main part of the bow to the central part, sew and then sew the dolls to the bandage on the head.
Knit with boots from the bottom up. We type on spokes 3 mm 19 loops with a thread of dark blue color.
1 row - purl
2 rows - 1 facial, (2 loops from one) x17 times, 1 facial = 36 loops
3 row - purl
We knit 7 rows of stocking knit. Cut off the dark blue thread and attach the skin color stripe.
11 rows - purl
12 rows - 10 facial, (2 together facial) x8 times, 10 facial = 28 loops
13 row - purlins
14 rows - 8 facial, (2 together facial) x6 times, 8 facial = 22 loops.
We knit 35 rows of stocking knit.
50 series - 3 facial, (2 together facial) x3 times, 4 facial, (2 together facial) x3 times, 3 facial = 16 loops
Close all loops.
Assembly
We sew from the bottom upwards along the edge loops. We fill the legs with filler not very tightly and we sew the legs to the trunk.
Knickers
Knit two identical parts. We knit from below upwards
On knitting needles 3 mm we type 34 loops a thread of white color.
1 row - 2 facial, (nakid, 2 together face) to the end
2 rows - purl
3 rows - purl
4 rows - purl
5 rows - facial
6 rows - facial
7 rows - facial
8 rows - purl
9 rows -
purlins Next we knit 27 rows of stocking knitted.
37 row - reduce one loop at the beginning and at the end of the row
38 row - decrease one loop at the beginning and at the end of the row
39 row - reduce one loop at the beginning and at the end of the row = 28
stitches We knit 17 rows of stocking knit.
56 row - (2 face, 2 together face) to the end = 21 loop
Close all the loops for the waist.
Assembly
Fold the two parts together and sew on the edge first from the waist down. Then we sew each leg. We put the pantaloons on the doll and sew on the waist line.
Skirt
We knit a skirt from below upwards. On the spokes 3 mm, we collect 112 loops with a white thread.
1 row - 2 facial, (nakid, 2 together facial) to the end.
2 rows - purl
3 rows - purl
We break off the white thread and attach a light yellow thread.
4 rows - purl
5 rows - purl We
attach a dark yellow thread, not breaking off the light yellow at the same time.
6 rows - purlins
7 rows - facial
8 rows - purl
9 rows - facial.
Change the dark yellow thread to a light yellow
10 row - purl
11 row - facial
Change the light yellow thread to a dark yellow
12 row - purl
13 row facial
Change the dark yellow thread to a light yellow
14th row - purl
15 rows - purl
We cut a light yellow thread and continue to knit a dark yellow.
16 row - purl
Weave 48 rows of stocking knitted.
65 rows - (2 facial, 2 face-to-face) to the end = 84 loops
66 row - purl
67 row - 2 facial, (2 together facial) to the last 2 loops on the spokes, 2 facial = 44 loops.
We close all the loops. Sew the skirt along the edge tabs. We put the skirt on the doll and sew it.
Hands
Knit from top to bottom. On the spokes 3 mm we type 14 loops with a flesh-colored thread. We knit 30 rows of stocking knit.
31 rows - (2 together facing to the end) = 7 loops.
We break off the thread, leaving a long end. Collect the remaining loops on the thread, tightly tighten and secure. We sew our hands along the edges. We stuff our hands tightly. Then form the wrists at the level of 10 rows from the fingertips. Do not sew the upper hole.
Sleeve
Knit from top to bottom. We type 12 loops with a thread of light blue color on the spokes 3 mm.
1 row - purl
2 rows - 2 facial from each loop = 24 loops
3 row - purl
4 rows - (4 facial light blue thread, 3 loops with red thread (can be typed using 2 spokes)) to the end.
We knit 9 rows of stocking knit, alternating the sve-blue and red yarn.
14 row - we cut all the red loops.
15 row - purl
16 rows - (1 facial, 2 together facial) to the end = 16 loops
17 row - facial
18 row - facial
Close all loops.
Assembling
Sew the sleeves along the edge loops and sew on the set edge, forming the sleeves of the sleeve. I still sewed a little blue part of the sleeves, hiding the red loops a little more, to get the effect of a slotted sleeve.
We fill it loose. We put our hands in sleeves so that about 4 rows are hidden in the sleeves. Sew your hands to your sleeves. Then we sew the "hands + sleeves" design to the trunk of the doll.
