DAISY CAP CROCHET

A master class on knitting this wonderful and truly summer hat was prepared by Polina F from Osinki.
The cap itself is knitted from fine cotton yarn (400-480 m / 100 g) - "Chamomile", "Coco", "Successful", "Kable", etc. Flower petals and leaves Polina advises to knit from the "Lotus" (250 m / 100 g), because of this thick yarn obtained "resistant", non-flowing flowers and leaves, and the cap retains an attractive look. Starch or gelatin is not required.

- hooks № 1,6 and 2.
- satin ribbon
- beads.

The choice of yarn is not accidental: from the dense "Lotus" are obtained "resistant" flowers and leaves; so cap retains an attractive look.
Starch or gelatin is not required.

Bottom knit according to the scheme.

The grid stretches very well, so the diameter of the panama bottom can be easily reduced by 1-2 cm.
This scheme (17 cm in diameter) is designed for river 54.

Next, knit mesh without increments.

We tie the bottom of the cap next to ST BN., Further according to the scheme:
Do not forget to change the threads!

Flower.
Knit according to the scheme.

For the second tier of petals, we knit 6 arches (= 6 petals) of 2-3 VPs under the ready-made leaves of the 1st tier in a checkerboard pattern.

Next, knit the petals like petals 1st tier.

Steam the finished flower.
The middle of the finished chamomile, in my opinion, is not very neat, so I close the middle of it with a ribbon segment (you can simply make a circle of yellow threads) and sew beads.

Leaves
Knit 3 pcs. according to the scheme.

We thread the beads into the long ends (it is better that they are of different lengths).

Putting it all together.
At first I sew the leaves - at the tip below (and sometimes I do not sew at the bottom at all) and at the top of the leg: you can and should move it lower, because the flower's petals will cover the highly sewn leaves.

I sew a flower myself like this: the middle is necessary, but I sew petals selectively at the very tips, giving a slight slack.
It remains to see a satin ribbon.
