This is the third of four videos that will be going over basic crochet stitches. If you haven't seen the other videos, they can be found on my page!⁠ I hope those who have been watching are enjoying the series ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ This video is showing double crochet (dc). The instructions are:⁠⠀ Chain (ch) 12⁠⠀ Yarn over (wrap the yarn from front to back around the hook, also abbreviated as yo) and insert crochet hook into 3rd chain from hook. ⁠⠀ Yarn over and draw the yarn through the chain. You should have three loops on the hook. ⁠⠀ Yarn over again and draw through first two loops on the hook (should have two loops on the hook after). ⁠⠀ Yarn over and draw through remaining two loops. ⁠⠀ Continue in each ch to the end of the row. You should have 10 dc total. ⁠⠀ Turn work. ⁠⠀ Chain 2 for the start of the new row. This does not count as a stitch. ⁠I find that when I do count it as a stitch, I have a gap at the beginning of my rows. ⁠⠀ Yarn over and insert hook under the two loops of first dc. Yarn over, draw hook through the stitch (should have 3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through first two loops on hook, yarn over, and pull through remaining two loops.
