Formation of the sleeve and armhole tutorial

I want to tell you about a good, in my opinion, plug-in sleeve, the formula of which can be adjusted to your size or density by adding (removing) one or two repetitions of reductions in proportion. The density of knitting on the exposed sample is pretty common - 21 items x 30 p. 10 x 10 cm, the spokes - 4 mm. The width of the jacket in the area of the chest circumference is 108 cm on my chest circumference of 102 cm, the jacket has enough freedom to wear it over the dress or blouse, non-fitted, straight silhouette. The circumference of the sleeve at the widest point is 37 cm, or 78 section. The height of the armhole is 23 cm, the neck of the sleeve is 17 cm. The jacket is washed and dried.
Back sleeves. At the beginning of the next two rows we close by 6 p., Further reductions are made in the front row. We make reductions in the following way: we start with the edge loop (remove without tying up at the beginning of each face or back row), 1 person., 2 together on the right, knit up to the last 4 points, 2 together on the left, 1 person., 1 edge. This is done in every 2nd row 6 times, in every, 4th row 5 times, in every 2nd row 5 times. Close on 3 p. At the beginning of the next 4 rows. Close the remaining hinges.

Armhole (back). At the beginning of the next two rows we close 6 points each (as much as on the sleeve). Further reductions are made in the front row. We make reductions in the following way: we start with the edge loop (remove without tying up at the beginning of each face or back row), 1 person., 2 together on the right, knit up to the last 4 points, 2 together on the left, 1 person., 1 edge. This is done in every 2nd row 7 times, in each, 4th row 4 times. We knit to the desired height (not forgetting the possible stretching during washing), close the remaining shoulder loops by description or pattern. Repeat the same for the front.

The perimeter of the neck of the sleeve (sewn along) and the perimeter of the armhole (sewn shoulders and sides) must match. In this case, it is 54 cm. The permissible error is up to 1.5 cm, which can be easily leveled when inserted. In my experience, a simple plug-in sleeve always looks better if the perimeter of the okat turned out to be slightly less than the perimeter of the armhole, and not the other way around (the exception is a puffy sleeve with a puff).

The sleeve is sewn with a mattress seam. In subsequent posts, I will show you how the sewn sleeve and then the whole jacket look like.
