A lightweight and airy wave cardigan from Kim Hargreaves, knits with silky mohair yarn.

Translation description for size XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL).

The chest circumference is 81 (86, 91, 97, 102, 109) cm.

Rowan Kidsilk Haze recommended yarn (70% mohair, 30% silk; 210 m / 25 g).

To knit a cardigan you will need:

6 (7, 7, 8, 8, 9) hanks of 25 g each
straight needles 4.5 mm
straight needles 9 mm
long circular needles 4 mm
long circular needles 4.5 mm
8 mm long circular needles
loop holders
Knitting density: 12 loops and 19 rows = 10 cm with the main viscous knitting needles of 4.5 and 9 mm thread in 2 additions.

Description of knitting cardigan from mohair.

Back.

The main pattern is the front smooth surface with a variable needles in each row.

On the needles 9 mm thread in 2 additions dial 66 (68, 72, 74, 78, 82) loops and knit as follows:

1 row (BOS): knit with 4.5 mm knit facial loops.

2nd row (IC): knit 9 mm with purl loops.

Repeat the last 2 rows by changing the spokes until the height of the back is 65 (66, 67, 68, 69, 70), see End in the wrong side.

The formation of the shoulders and neck back.

Close by 8 (9, 9, 9, 10, 11) loops at the beginning of the next 2 rows = 50 (50, 54, 56, 58, 60) loops.

Track. row (BOS): close 8 (9, 9, 9, 10, 11) loops, then knit facial until 13 loops (12, 14, 14, 14, 14) are looped on the right spoke, rotate; Transfer the remaining hinges to the holder.

Then both sides knit separately. Close the 4 loops at the beginning of the next row. Then close the remaining 9 (8, 10, 10, 10, 10) loops.

From the front side, attach the thread to the loops on the holder, close the central 8 (8, 8, 10, 10, 10) loops, tie the row with the front ones. Tie the second side symmetrically.

Left side of the front.

Type on the spokes 9 mm thread in 2 addition 32 (33, 35, 36, 38, 40) loops. Start the main knitting with the 1st row and knit like a back. Tie 12 (14, 14, 12, 12, 12) rows, finish on the wrong side.

The formation of a V-shaped neck.

Track. a number of reductions (LS): knit facial up to the last 4 loops, 2 persons together for the rear walls, 2 persons.

Next, subtract 1 loop as described above in the next 14th (14th, 14th, 12th, 12th, 12th) row, then in the next 14th row 0 (0, 0, 3, 2, 1) times and in the next 16th row 0 (0, 1, 0, 0, 0) times = 25 (26, 28, 28, 30, 32) loops. Then knit straight, to the height of the back of the shoulders, finish in the purl row.

Shoulder formation.

Close by 8 (9, 9, 9, 10, 11) loops at the beginning of the next row and through the row. Link 1 row purl row. Close the remaining 9 (8, 10, 10, 10, 10) loops.

Right side of the front.

On the needles 9 mm thread in 2 additions dial 32 (33, 35, 36, 38, 40) loops. Knit as the left side 12 (14, 14, 12, 12, 12) rows, finish on the wrong side.

The formation of a V-shaped neck.

Track. Row (BOS): 2 persons, 2 persons together, finish the row with facial ones.

Then reduce the loop as described above mirror the left side. Complete the right side symmetrically left.

Sleeves.

On the needles of 9 mm thread in 2 additions, dial 25 (27, 29, 29, 31, 31) loops and knit with 22 patterns in the main pattern, finish in the purl row.

Track. a number of additions (LS): 3 persons, 1 persons add, then facial up to 3 last pet, 1 persons add, 3 persons.

Next, perform additions as described above in the next 12th (12th, 12th, 10th, 10th, 8th) series and in each next 12th (12th, 12th, 10 -m, 10th, 8th) row up to 35 (35, 35, 35, 47, 41) -th loops. Then add loops in each of the next 14th (14th, 14th, 12th, - 10th) rows until 37 (39, 41, 43, -, 49) loops are added. Then knit straight until the length of the sleeve is 49 (50, 51, 52, 53, 54) loops, finish in the purse row. Close the loop with 9 mm knitting needles. Tie the second sleeve.


Completion.

Lightly steam the parts. Run shoulder seams.

Front slats.

From the front side to the circular needles of 4 mm thread in 2 additions, evenly lift and knit with the front 98 (100, 102, 104, 106, 108) loops up the right side in front of the shoulder, then 16 (16, 16, 18, 18, 18 ) loops on the neck of the back and another 98 (100, 102, 104, 106, 108) loops down the left side of the front = 212 (216, 220, 226, 230, 234) loops.

1 row (IC): knit with circular knitting 8 mm purl loops.

2 row (BOS): knit with circular knitting 4 mm face loops.

Repeat the last 2 rows 3 more times.

9th row (IC): knit with circular knitting needles 4.5 mm purl loops.

Row 10 (BOS): 4 mm circular knitting needles to knit facial loops.

Close loosely the loops in the next purl with needles of 4.5 mm.

Mark from each shoulder down 16 (17, 18, 19, 20, 21) cm along the sides. Sew the sleeves between the marks. Run side seams and sleeve seams.
