STRONGED HEEL The

horseshoe-heel (otherwise French or semicircular) is an ordinary classic heel, knitted a little differently.

Due to the displaced decreases, we get a beautiful rounded edge, so this heel is more comfortable, it better fits the leg.
Horseshoe heel socks are great for those who have a high lift.
So, tied the cuff? Getting started!

1. We knit the usual heel wall on 1 and 4 needles. You can choose a more dense pattern of the "eye of the partridge" to make the product more durable.
2. Getting to turn the heel. The loops should be divided by 5. Thus, the ratio between the sides and the center of the heel will be: 2-1-2. For example, if there are 30 of them, then the division will be as follows: 12-6-12. If it does not completely divide - the balance should be distributed on the sides of the heel. It is important that the central part contains an even number of loops, then after knitting our "horseshoe" it will be easier to divide the loops between 1 and 4 knitting needles and continue knitting. This element is knitted face smooth. It is easier to knit turn the heel to start from the purl row.
3. Next step by step:
Row 1: we knit the loops of the first side part (put a marker), the central part, the last loop of which must be knitted together with the next loop (the first loop of the second side part) and the wrong loop. Another 1 p. (The next loop of the second side) knit purl. Turn knitting.
2 row: 1 p. We remove, we knit the central part with facial loops, we knit up to the marker, 1 p. To the marker and we knit the front part together with the inclination to the left. Another 1 p. (The next loop side) knit front. Turn knitting.
Gaps (gaps) will be formed on the sides of the central part, along which it is easy to orient, therefore you can not use the marker.
3 row: 1p. remove, then knit purl to break in a row, 1 p. to and 1 p. after the gap, knit together purl, 1 purl, turn the work.

4 row: 1p. remove, knit facial to break in a row, 1 p. to and 1 p. after a break, knit the front with a tilt to the left, 1 face, turn the work.
Rows 3 and 4 are repeated until all the loops of the side parts are knitted.

4. If the edge loops are too large, then it is recommended to knit them crossed so that holes do not form along the edge of the heel height.
5. Finish the reduction should be the front row, knitting that you can immediately start a set of loops for the wedge lift. Further, as when knitting a regular heel, loops are activated from the side spokes, loops are raised from the heel wall, a wedge is knitted.
